HISTORY
Western Building Systems was set up in 1982 as a flat roofing company and has expanded to become a market leader in the construction industry. The company has many divisions in its portfolio, which include construcion for commercial, industrial and health sectors. The company also has an extensive porfolio of housing products and services
- Set up in 1982 as a flat roofing company providing a service for the domestic sector and educational field, known as Western Roofing
- Produced steel framed garages, which were marketed under the name of Western Garages in 1984
- In 1986 moved in to the field of manufacturing mobile classrooms. This sector of the business was marketed under the name of Western Sectional Buildings
- Niche seen in housing sector for factory built houses. Formation of the housing division, known as Western Cottages, in 1992
- In 1997 the company took on group status and operated all its businesses under the one name of Western Building Systems
- The company once again used its pre-fabricated building background to establish a new business. This business was to produce steel clad portable buildings and anti-vandal units
- In 1998 a uPVC window and door division was established, known as Western Windows
- Along with the window division, the company adopted a section of the factory for purpose of producing solely its own kitchen, bedroom, classroom and office furniture
- Expedition of the modular home section into UK in 2003, with the formation of Western Park Homes Ltd
- Western Windows establishes the manufacturing and supply of Aluminium systems in 2006
